Anyone with a current IRATA or SPRAT qualification can compete in this event. *Participants in the Blast From The Past may have expired qualification but they do need to pass the competency test prior to competing.
Challengers from all States and Countries are welcome.
Yes, this event is open to anyone, from anywhere. International Challengers are very welcome to take part in this event.
No. You can only participate in one solo challenge category, however you can participate in the solo and also in the team challenge on the same weekend.
Yes, you can compete in the solo and also the team challenge
Yes, companies can send as many Challengers in any category they like. Teams just have to be made up of 3 people for each challenge
Yes. For insurance reasons, challengers need to compete under the banner of an employing company, regardless of whether the company is paying the challengers to be there or not.
Yes, Companies need to send Certificates of Currency for Workers Compensation and Public Liability prior to the event.
Yes. All Tools will be provided on the day.
Yes. Each Challenger will be given a personalised shirt that they can keep at the end of the event.
Yes. There will be an option to have the company logo on the front of the competitor t-shirt. And there will be custom helmet stickers made for each company sending competitors to the event.
Each team challenge needs to be done by 3 people. You can either: a) send a team of 3 , or b) send a crew of 4, which includes 1 Sub , or c) send a crew of 5 and they recruit a Solo Challenger on Saturday to help make 2 teams of 3 , or d) send a crew of 6 to make 2 teams of 3 from the same company
Yes, teams can be formed last minute on Saturday, it is even encouraged. JGIDRAC is all about making new friends, new connections, learning from each other and working together. Solo Challengers can form or join teams on Saturday and upgrade their ticket to participate on Sunday as part of a team.
